Emi & Kei's wedding at St Peters Church Nottingham

This wedding was a great example of how we work with clients worldwide these days. Emi & Kei both live in Tokyo, while Emi has roots in Nottingham. So we confirmed arrangements and bookings for weeks by email, and never actually got to meet properly until a week before the wedding!

I was really pleased to get the chance to work with them as they were holding their wedding at the stunning St Peters Church, in the heart of Nottingham city centre, AND they were up for an urban photowalk after the ceremony. My kind of folks :)

We started off with a quick visit to see the bridal preparations.

Then it was off in to the city to meet up with Keichi and his best man, by way of a pause at Starbucks...

Kei and his best man helped me brush up on a few Japanese phrases to help me run things smoothly later on, and soon enough, Emi made her appearance.

I managed another precarious climb up the church tower to land this shot of things from high up, and also had instructions to grab a few shots of the choir as Emi used to sing with them years ago.

After the ceremony we spent a while outside photographing families and some nice informal shots, before taking a wander around the city.

I think the shots below are some of my favourites as they have such a relaxed feel to them, and they are SO different!

Eventually we caught up with everybody over at the reception.

Congratulations Emi & Kei!
